Survey Laborer
About The Position
Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Requirements
- Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions such as rain, snow, heat etc.
Responsibilities
- Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.
- Clean or prepare survey sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Assisting with measuring marks, or record openings or distances of construction layout areas where construction work will be performed.
- Digging with a pick to set grades and stakes.
- Cleans tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Work with foreman to set grade stakes & hubs.
- Setting hubs with sledgehammer.
- Painting grade stakes.
- Running a grade.
- Knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.
