Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? Join our growing team as a Survey Technician Intern in Blue Ash, Ohio. Take part in hands-on fieldwork that supports land development, construction, and environmental projects throughout the Midwest. Supported by a team of experienced surveyors and the use of advanced equipment and software, you will help deliver high-quality survey results that drive engineering and planning decisions. Verdantas integrates a wide array of cutting-edge tools, including Drones & Aerial Mapping, 3D Laser Scanners, Bathymetric Units, Lidar Systems, and GPS. The most successful candidate for this position will enjoy working in an outdoor environment and will demonstrate the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and project managers. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in Surveying or a related field
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Interest in surveying and willingness to learn
  • Ability to travel as needed for fieldwork
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous engineering co-op or related experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys to collect data on land features, boundaries, and topography
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment such as total stations, GPS units, and levels
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of survey instruments
  • Record and document survey data accurately and efficiently
  • Assist in the preparation of survey reports, maps, and drawings
  • Ensure compliance with survey standards and project specifications
  • Communicate findings and observations to the Survey Crew Chief/Lead Surveyor
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during fieldwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Survey Crew Chief/Lead Surveyor
