About The Position

Inline USA is seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Assistant to provide on-site leadership and oversight for our field crews in Idaho starting April 1, 2026. This role is responsible for day-to-day project execution, safety performance, quality assurance, scheduling, and strong client relations. This position follows a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rotation. While on rotation, the Survey Crew Chief is expected to be on-site for the full duration of the shift and available to support operational requirements as scheduled. Key Responsibilities: Support Safety & Promote a Culture of Accountability Safety is a core part of everything we do. In this role, you’ll assist Surveyors with daily safety paperwork and help maintain compliance with all site-specific safety requirements. By staying alert, engaged, and proactive in the field, you’ll contribute to a team culture where everyone looks out for one another and works safely every day. Deliver Reliable Field Support You’ll play an essential role in daily survey operations — assisting with equipment set-up, tear-down, and maintenance to ensure crews are prepared for accurate and efficient fieldwork. Your attention to detail will help ensure tools are functioning properly and ready for each task. Execute Hands-On Installation & Site Tasks Working under the supervision of Surveyors, you’ll install survey stake lines and survey control monuments with precision. You will provide general labour support as required to keep projects progressing smoothly. Maintain Equipment & Vehicles You’ll help ensure survey vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, organized, and handled with care. Your diligence in upkeep supports operational efficiency and company assets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a survey assistant or diploma in surveying/Geomatics, related post-secondary education, or equivalent field experience recognized under Idaho’s surveying licensure pathways.
  • Dependable, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and walk 10–12 hours per day in varying weather and terrain.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to take direction, listen carefully, learn quickly, and apply instruction from supervisors effectively.
