About The Position

SALARY RANGE: $18.58 - $23.23 HOURLY/DOE SUMMARY: Oversee all activities within the Surveillance Department as well as monitor all gaming areas as required by Internal Control Standards. Monitor all other areas as required by policy and procedures, ensuring the security of casino premises.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Key license.
  • Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind.
  • Must have CPR, First Aid, and A.E.D. training certificates.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Must be proficient at the use of the computer programs Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have appropriate oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be physically able to withstand continued sitting for a period of 8 hours or more and be able to work in a confined area.
  • Must also be able to stand of ladders or lifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred but not required.
  • Six months supervisory experience and three years experience in the fields of surveillance or security preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities within the Surveillance Department
  • Monitor all gaming areas as required by Internal Control Standards
  • Monitor all other areas as required by policy and procedures, ensuring the security of casino premises
  • Ensures compliance of company standards and tribal gaming regulations by monitoring all departments, and reports incidents to the appropriate departmental supervisors and/or directors.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all casino operations and internal controls.
  • Responsible for inventory, forms, and proper dispersion of documentation to surveillance staff.
  • Constantly uses cameras to observe the casino and surrounding premises, ensuring proper positioning of surveillance cameras.
  • Must know how to run surveillance wires throughout the casino and surrounding premises and to install surveillance cameras.
  • Will monitor the drop in accordance with slot drop procedures.
  • Observes workers in the performance of their duties to evaluate efficiency and to detect and correct inefficient work practices.
  • Responsible for creating the work schedule for the surveillance staff and making sure that all shifts are covered.
  • This schedule with be given to the Director of Security and Surveillance in a timely manner.
  • Shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
