About The Position

Assists Probation Officers in the supervision, surveillance, and investigation
of an
assigned caseload of adult inmates assigned to the Sex Offender Team.
Provides supervision and monitoring of probationers from Courts and the Parole
Board in accordance with DOC standards; to enhance public safety through
supervision, follow-up, and the use of community resources, and commitment or
re-commitment if necessary.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of surveillance and investigative techniques.
• Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Automated Databases.
• Demonstrated experience to collect pertinent information from a variety of sources, maintain logs, and document discussions with inmates, or probationers in a human service setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment using both verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced knowledge, coursework, or experience working with case management computer applications.
• Demonstrated experience making referrals to community resources.
• Working knowledge of electronic, voice monitoring systems &/or anytrax.
