About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Surveillance Agent is to maintain the operation by ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and company assets. The Surveillance Agent is required to adhere to all gaming regulations, policies and procedures, and department SOPs.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have adequate knowledge of high school math.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone.
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be fluent in English in both verbal and written forms, including effective communication in spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a UMUGC Key license.
  • At least 1 year previous casino Security or equivalent experience required.
  • Must have basic computer skills with the ability to operate most standard office.
  • Must have knowledge of investigations, risk management, safety awareness, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Operate surveillance equipment and identify deficiencies as they arise.
  • Continuously monitor casino floor to ensure safety of all guests and employees.
  • Complete daily reports and daily logs to be submitted to the Surveillance Manager.
  • Maintain professional troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Monitor the enforcement of internal controls and gaming rules and regulations.
  • Notify appropriate law enforcement personnel as required.
  • Control entry to the surveillance department and conducts facility tour as necessary.
  • Maintain, verify and complete daily reports.
  • Remain familiar with regulations, publications and video material concerning gambling techniques and casino cheating.
  • Ensure proper camera coverage throughout the casino property for the safety and security of all guests and employees and to safeguard company assets.
  • Remain familiar with gaming regulations, current gaming compacts, MICS, and department SOPs.
  • Communicate with other departmental supervisors concerning incidents within their areas of responsibility.
  • Report violations to Surveillance Manager in written form.
  • Issue replacement blackjack cards and cancel un-used card.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with company policies and procedures to all internal and external guests.
  • Promote teamwork in the department by assisting others with tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
