As a Surgical Technologist, you’ll be a vital part of the operating room team—working side by side with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia to deliver exceptional care. You’ll expertly prepare and manage instruments, supplies, and equipment while anticipating the surgeon’s needs and supporting seamless procedures from start to finish. Guided by the Lead OR Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, you’ll use your technical expertise and attention to detail to maintain a safe, sterile environment and ensure the highest standards of patient care throughout every operation. Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification is required

Responsibilities

  • Sets up sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment and medication/solutions needed for procedure.
  • Counts sponges, sharps and instruments according to policy.
  • Assists with draping the patient and establishing a sterile field.
  • Participates in the surgical site and patient verification during the time out procedure
  • Prepares and anticipates additional instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for usage during the procedure.
  • Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures
  • Assists the anesthesia provider.
  • Assists with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury.
  • Assists with applying tourniquets and monitors before the procedure begins.
