Position: Surgical Technologist - Full Time (FT), 36 hours per week or Part Time (PT), 16-32 hours per week Department: Surgery Reports To: Director, Surgery Why York General? Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus! Consistent Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, plus call. On-Call Expectations: 1 day per week, 1 weekend per month, and 2 holidays per year (must be within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call). Supportive Growth Environment: Not certified yet? Requirements

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.
• BLS certification
• Surgical Tech certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• Nebraska state licensure

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons by preparing instruments and supplies and maintaining an aseptic surgical environment
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure an orderly and efficient operating field.
• Maintain accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24-hour surgical coverage
