Our surgical team is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, surgery technologists, and more. From family medicine providers performing C-Sections to orthopedic specialists reconstructing ACLs, our three operating rooms provide variety each day for all involved with the surgical services team. Provide an exceptional surgical experience for patients that align with Lakewood Health’s mission, vision, and values from admission, to discharge, and after care. Play a vital role on the surgical team, partnering with surgeons, nurses, and staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready for each procedure. Provide hands-on support during surgeries by passing instruments, anticipating needs, and maintaining a sterile field. Help ensure patient safety through precise surgical counts and adherence to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote efficient workflows and positive patient outcomes. Support daily operations by cleaning, restocking, and preparing rooms and case carts for upcoming procedures. Contribute to a team-focused environment through strong communication, professionalism, and support of peers. This is a full-time position working 64-80 hours per pay period (0.8-1.0FTE). This position includes rotating late shifts, rotating call shifts (ability to respond within 30 minutes), and varying days off.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred (NBSTSA or NCCT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and aseptic technique
  • Ability to maintain a sterile field and respond quickly in dynamic environments
