Surgical Technologist - 2025 Surgical Tech Interns The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the surgeon. The Surgical Technologist functions primarily in the scrub role and is responsible for selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. The Surgical Technologist possesses knowledge in the application of sterile and aseptic technique and is able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting. The Surgical Technologist utilizes knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, surgical instrumentation and technology as member of the surgical team.
