What You'll Do As a Surgical Technologist in the OR, you will: Assist surgeons and physicians with a wide range of complex procedures, including minimally invasive and open surgeries. Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical environment to ensure optimal patient safety. Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner. Function across multiple specialties and adapt quickly to emergent situations. Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other clinicians as a key part of a multidisciplinary care team. Surgical Technologist I Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or equivalent accredited training program AST Certification BLS Certification (American Heart Association) Required for new hires without prior surgical facility experience before July 1, 2013. Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or equivalent accredited training program
  • AST Certification
