We are currently seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist to join our Mount Vernon Ambulatory Surgery Center. Requirements
- Patient-focused mindset with compassion for the senior community
- Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organization
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and sterile technique
- Comfort using Microsoft Office or G-Suite
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/AED certification required (ACLS preferred; training provided during orientation)
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of ophthalmic assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and sterilize surgical instruments to the highest standards
- Assist surgeons during ophthalmic procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Anticipate surgeon's needs by understanding surgical workflows and procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique and monitor the sterile field throughout procedures
- Deliver high-quality patient care while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented operating room environment
