We are currently seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist to join our Mount Vernon Ambulatory Surgery Center. Requirements

  • Patient-focused mindset with compassion for the senior community
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organization
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and sterile technique
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office or G-Suite
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR/AED certification required (ACLS preferred; training provided during orientation)

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of ophthalmic assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and sterilize surgical instruments to the highest standards
  • Assist surgeons during ophthalmic procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Anticipate surgeon's needs by understanding surgical workflows and procedures
  • Maintain strict sterile technique and monitor the sterile field throughout procedures
  • Deliver high-quality patient care while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented operating room environment
