About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting surgeons during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and maintaining surgical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program OR a minimum of two years of surgical technologist experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with surgical procedures (eye procedures preferred).
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
Proficiency in aseptic and sterile techniques.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and surgical needs.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center preferred.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient procedure.
Handle and care for surgical instruments properly to prevent damage.
Monitor and maintain an accurate count of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
Follow infection control policies and safety procedures to protect patients and staff.
Collaborate with nurses and other surgical team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Assist with room turnover and sterilization processes between cases.
