This environment offers Surgical Technologist Interns a rare opportunity to gain clinical experience in a high-volume, high-acuity setting where advanced surgical techniques and leading-edge technology are the standard. Under the direction of the Unit Manager, RN Clinical Operations Coordinator, and/or RN Service Line Supervisors, the Surgical Technologist Intern works directly under the guidance of a preceptor and surgeon/physician to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. This internship provides hands-on learning in the application of sterile technique and surgical practices. The Surgical Technologist Intern will gain knowledge in human anatomy, surgical processes, instrumentation, and emerging technologies. Interns will be mentored in anticipating the needs of surgeons and physicians, supporting optimal patient care and surgical outcomes in a variety of procedures, including both minimally invasive and complex surgeries.
