The Surgical Technologist II facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. The role involves working Monday to Friday, three 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and nights.

Requirements

Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist
BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association
BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
One (1) year of experience required

Nice To Haves

Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C)

Responsibilities

Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
Assists in decontamination, preparation and sterilization of instruments in sterile processing.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
Assists nurse with patient care.
Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
