About The Position

As a Surgical Technician, CST at MercyOne, you will function in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care, doing so as a delegated technical function under the direct supervision of the perioperative Registered Nurse. The provision of care is consistent through adherence to standards and support of the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center. Position Title: Surgical Technician, CST Department: Birth Center Schedule: Full Time .9 (36 hours per week) Shift; Nights Rotating Holidays

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa. CST certification required within 18-months of hire if working in Illinois.
No prior experience is required.
BLS. Mandatory Reporter.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people; ability to work under pressure and with a large degree of independence and accountability; and the ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity.
Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
