Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- National Surgical Tech license for Certified only (upon hire).

- 1 year of Surgical Tech experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and Registered Nurse.
- Prepare the operating room with appropriate instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
- Assures sterility and working order of equipment and instruments prior to the case.
- Perform as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
- Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization, reporting any mechanical difficulties as needed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of decontamination, washing, assembling, wrapping and sterilizing instruments according to guidelines.
- Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Requires call with a 20-minute response time.
