As a Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process. To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures. As a Lead, you will serve for multiple surgical specialties, communicating closely with and supporting the Perioperative Services Charge RN and management team regarding daily operations of each specialty area within Perioperative Services. This position is responsible for coordinating the care of patients in a defined care team and is accountable to the Perioperative Services Charge RN in carrying out patient care. This position is accountable for the planning and delivery of quality patient care in partnership with the Perioperative Services Charge RN, physician, interdisciplinary team and patient/family.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing may be substituted for graduation from an accredited surgical technician program
  • Surgical Technologist Registration: WA, upon hire or Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire or Licensed Practical Nurse: WA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from surgical technology program accredited through Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology ARC-ST
  • A minimum of six months operating room work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities, upon hire
  • Two years of work experience in the clinical specialty within the last three years
  • Previous lead tech experience
