About The Position

Step into the heart of the operating room and play a vital role in life-saving procedures. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Surgical Technologist prepares for and assists in a wide range of surgical operations, anticipating the needs of the surgical team with precision and focus. From assembling and operating both simple and complex surgical equipment#such as drills and scopes#to maintaining a sterile field, your attention to detail ensures the highest standards of safety and care. # Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40 # Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must have graduated from a vocational program for Surgical Technicians or Technologist.# Three (3) years of on-the-job training experience may be accepted in place of completion of a vocational program. Experience: Prefer three to five (3-5) years of experience with diverse surgical specialties. Certification/Licensure: Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required. Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.## Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Requires specialized knowledge and skills in operating room practices. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are utilized to enhance and encourage collaborative staff and community relationships. Must be able to respond quickly and be familiar with operating procedures to have instruments ready for surgeons. Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED.
