About the unit 16 ORs comprised of multidisciplinary teams; consistently recognized by US News & World Report as national leaders in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, our dedicated team is expertly trained in the management of acute and urgent trauma as well as electively scheduled procedures for both the pediatric and adult populations. We set a standard of excellence in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery with access to advanced technologies including Surgical Theatre, robotic assisted, endoscopic, and minimally invasive surgeries. Scope of work The Surgical Technologist II will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, and making appropriate responses as needed. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols. May serve as a preceptor as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma Required
  • Associate degree or equivalent Required
  • Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.) Not all schools require an associate degree Or 1 year of equivalent experience Required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (Clinical rotations do count as experience) Preferred
