JOB SUMMARY Supports the needs of the Surgical Services Department by coordinating and maintaining an efficient and cost-effective surgical schedule. The Surgical Services Scheduler assists with coordinating requested equipment, supplies and services. We take great care of careers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a hospital or medical related field with use of computers and data entry functions.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology to include CPT codes and ICD codes
  • Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary
  • Proficient computer skills to include working knowledge of Windows based software, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and has excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers.
  • Ability to work in stressful environment and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to four years of experience in a hospital or medical related field with advanced knowledge of computers and data entry functions
