How you’ll make an impact in this role Coordinate surgical schedules across operating rooms to maximize efficiency, minimize delays, and ensure patients receive timely care. Collaborate with physician offices to gather essential case details and align scheduling with clinical needs, surgeon preferences, and patient readiness. Assign operating rooms, equipment, and block times strategically to optimize resource utilization and support smooth daily surgical operations. Verify patient demographic, insurance, and documentation information to prevent scheduling errors and reduce day-of-surgery delays. Adjust surgical schedules quickly in response to emergencies or changes to maintain continuity of care and support patient safety.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

  • Previous medical/surgical scheduling experience.
