Requirements

Maryland X-Ray Certification (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)

Responsibilities

Assist the surgeon during oral and maxillofacial surgeries, including implant placement and extractions.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and surgical rooms in accordance with infection control standards.
Monitor and record patient vitals during procedures; maintain competency in anesthesia monitoring.
Ensure all treatment plans and consent forms are accurately completed and organized.
Prepare patients for procedures and explain pre- and post-operative instructions clearly and compassionately.
Support patient recovery and provide thorough post-op care guidance.
Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols, including radiation protection standards.
Capture high-quality radiographs with proper exposure and anatomical accuracy.
Maintain a sterile and organized surgical environment at all times.
Maintain accurate electronic patient records and documentation.
Inspect, clean, and sterilize equipment and instruments to ensure readiness for each procedure.
Work closely with surgeons and team members to ensure efficient surgical flow.
Contribute to a positive, respectful team environment.
Uphold patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in every interaction.
