About The Position

Job Summary: Contributes to the team by assisting the physician with the performance of surgical procedures and instruments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited school for Operating Room Technician, or graduate from an accredited practical nursing school, or extensive preparation through on-the-job training.
• Must have current licensure as indicated by profession (LPN must be licensed by State Board of Nursing).
• Minimum of two(2) years training in surgical technology from a comparable medical institution. LPNs must have one (1) years' experience as a scrub technician. Or, a graduate of an accredited program in Surgical Technology may substitute for experience.
• Proficient Knowledge of duties and responsibilities of a surgical technician.
• The ability to communicate with co-workers in a professional manner.
• The ability to learn advanced procedures, instruments, and techniques.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• One (1) year experience as a Certified Surgical Technician.
• Five (5) years of work experience as Surgical Technician.
