As a surgery scheduler you will scheduling surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized scheduling system, entering patient charges, orders, may act as an office liaison for department staff, physicians, and patient families, reminder calls, etc. The preferred candidate should have at least 1 year experience within surgery scheduling. This is a full time, day shift, Mon-Fri 8:30AM-4:30PM (with possible 4 10 hour shift schedule after training) University Medical Center Phoenix is a nationally recognized academic medical center. Additionally, the campus responsibilities include fully integrated multi-specialty and sub-specialty clinics and has operations in multiple locations spanning across the Phoenix metropolitan city. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for scheduling surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized scheduling system. The position is also responsible for entering patient charges, orders, and other pertinent information into the system and compiling and reporting statistical information to management. The incumbent may act as an office liaison for department staff, physicians, and patient families.
