About The Position

Full Time Surgery Scheduler/Boarding opportunity in a busy, private practice vascular surgery office in Flint. The vascular surgeons at Michigan Vascular Center are leaders in innovative vascular care, first and foremost in vascular health in mid-Michigan for sixty years. Michigan Vascular Center offers full service vascular care, with five locations in three counties, serving multiple hospitals and surgery centers in the area. About the Job Full Time, First Shift, Monday-Friday No weekends or holidays

Requirements

• Customer Service Skills, 1 year preferred
• Medical Terminology, 1 year preferred
• Computer Skills, EHR, etc, 1 year preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work early shift on rotation

Responsibilities

• Communicating scheduling information with patients
• Communicating with hospital and surgery center staff to schedule surgical patients
• Communicating with other physicians' offices regarding mutual patients, including cardiology and nephrology for medical clearance
• Insurance authorizations
• Working relationship with surgeons and clinical providers of Michigan Vascular Center
