About The Position

Harney District Hospital of Burns, OR is looking to hire a full-time Surgery Nurse to oversee patients in our surgery department. This position starts at $41.38 an hour and increases based on experience. We also offer exceptional full-time benefits , including $1,065/month towards medical, vision & dental, a 401(K) retirement plan, a PERS (public employee retirement system) plan, and up to 200 hours of paid time off (PTO) per year . Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of professional nursing principles and practices and license limitations.
  • Knowledge of mathematics to include basic algebra and geometry, and computer and keyboard operations.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write medical reports and procedures.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
  • Possession of a current Registered Nurse license within the State of Oregon, or ability to acquire by the time of appointment.
  • Possession of current BLS certification.
  • All full time and part time staff must possess ACLS and PALS certification within one (1) year of appointment

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS, PALS, TNCC and CNOR at time of appointment.
  • Previous nursing experience including Perioperative, Circulating and Oncology infusion.
