About The Position

The Surgery Aide is responsible for cleaning designated areas and equipment within the Operating Room Department. Assists with inventory and transport of patients and beds within Surgical Services. Assists nursing staff with restocking supplies in OR suites; assists nursing staff with returning equipment upon completion of procedure. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age. Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Heart Saver and AED is required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical patient care environment is preferred.
• Experience in central processing and housekeeping is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Years of relevant experience: 0 to 2 years is preferred.
