About The Position

Surety Account Manager Job Summary: Seeking a knowledgeable Surety Account Manager to manage and service a book of surety business. This role requires a deep understanding of suretyship, excellent client service, and the ability to handle all aspects of bond issuance and account management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to work with minimal oversight while maintaining strong relationships with clients and underwriters.

Requirements

  • Active P&C (Property and Casualty) license required
  • Previous experience servicing a book of surety business required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in surety or related insurance roles preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of surety processes, bond forms, and online surety platforms is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a book of surety accounts, including renewals and daily account needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other business partners
  • Review documentation to determine surety requirements, risk exposures, and bond obligations
  • Analyze and interpret various bond forms
  • Issue bid, performance, payment, license, and other types of surety bonds
  • Process and review bond riders accurately and efficiently
  • Open, manage, and close surety claims
  • Review and validate audits as needed
  • Utilize online surety platforms and carrier portals for servicing and processing tasks
  • Accurately bill invoices and manage account documentation
  • Collaborate with team members and demonstrate initiative in independently managing accounts
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agency management systems and Microsoft Office tools
