About The Position

The Payroll Supervisor oversees daily payroll operations, leading staff to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all employees. This role partners with HR, Accounting, and IT to maintain compliance, resolve issues, and drive process improvements. The role fosters a collaborative team environment, provides training and performance feedback, and ensures departmental goals are met.

Responsibilities

Supervises payroll staff and oversees biweekly payroll processing.
Manages off-cycle payments (e.g., bonuses, severance, reimbursements).
Serves as a point of contact for complex payroll inquiries.
Ensures accurate payroll auditing and reconciliation.
Ensures compliance with wage laws, payroll tax regulations, and internal controls.
Oversees payroll tax filings and resolves issues with tax authorities.
Administers W-2 processing and 401(k) audit coordination.
Advises management on payroll liabilities and regulatory matters.
Leads payroll system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
Identifies and implements process improvements and automation.
Trains staff on payroll systems and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality and data security protocols.
Ensures accurate payroll integration with the general ledger.
Supports month-end and year-end close activities.
Prepares payroll reports and assists with financial analysis.
Collaborates with accounting to resolve reconciliation issues.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
