Supervises professional, administrative and technical personnel (pediatric nurse practitioners, medical assistant, clinic secretaries,) providing patient care. Partners with Ambulatory Manager on business and financial operations. Essential Functions - Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision. - Monitors and evaluates office operations to ensure efficiency including, but not limited to scheduling, billing, patient records, telecommunications, patient referrals, MyChart, etc. Initiates clinical and operation improvement opportunities. - Ensures effective communication of information between Ambulatory leadership and clinic staff, and facilitates communication between other site leadership and their staff. - Coordinates the scheduling of work, vacations, etc. for direct reports and others to assure that patient care and office duties are completed to maintain an orderly and efficiently run office routine - Reviews and approves if assigned, ATS for verification of hours worked. - Works collaboratively with providers and staff to implement improvements within the practice to ensure a high caliber of patient care and services. - Contributes to developing and attaining long range objectives for the service including but not limited to financial goals, operations improvement, quality improvement, resource utilization and clinical practice enhancements. - Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff in conjunction with Human Resources Consultant and Ambulatory Manager. - Provides and creates an awareness of professional development activities available for staff. - Participates in the preparation of detailed operating budget projections for staff, supplies and equipment. Participates in the analysis of financial data to determine problem areas, potential savings and ways to reduce operating costs and maximizing charge capture. - Performs people management responsibilities for employees which may include but are not limited to: employee engagement, recruitment, performance management and development Legacy Essential Functions - Participates in the development of business plans and goals. - Partners with key site stakeholders to initiate patient experience improvements. Assists in developing and implementing action plans for improvement. - Assists in establishing marketing plans and developing marketing materials in partnership with Ambulatory Manager, Public Relations and providers. - Coordinates regular staff meetings, prepares agenda and submits minutes. - Complies with all government regulations to include OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, CMS, etc., to ensure clinic compliance. - Maintains and ensures the strictest level of confidentiality. - Participates in direct patient care and education per competencies and assigned - Other duties as assigned People Management Responsibility - Performs people management responsibilities for employees which may include but are not limited to: employee engagement, recruitment, performance management and development Required for All Jobs: - This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be requested in the performance of this job. - Employment is at-will.
