About The Position

The Supervisor Ambulatory Infusion Service (AIS) is responsible for the supervision of the AIS Nursing staff and support staff, providing leadership in the implementation and integration of human and material resources necessary to provide quality and efficient patient care for a defined population/unit. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the staff as they provide patient care on the unit. The position is administrative and clinical which is essential in the coordination of the continuum of care. Work situations are varied and require assessment, critical thinking, problem solving, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Highly developed positive interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills are of critical importance. Extensive contact with physicians, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, MHS patient care staff and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Two (2) years acute care experience required, IV Therapy strongly preferred
  • Previous experience and demonstrated skills in supervisory/lead capacity

  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
