About The Position

In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. This position is for Monday to Friday Lam’s Applications Lab Supervisor II is responsible for developing and leading teams in a high-tech production environment. Responsibilities include coordination and alignment of resources to meet Lam’s safety, production and organizational objectives. Supervisors are expected to demonstrate Lam’s core values through professional conduct and a dedication to honesty and integrity. In addition to safety and production objectives, Supervisors are responsible for employee development, employee performance, and corrective actions, as well as collaboration with management, engineers (software, hardware and electrical). Strategic responsibilities include managing special projects, continuous improvement activities and organizational alignment to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Requires ability to work and lead a team in a clean room environment
  • Proficiency with use of computer software and database applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience (Vocational, Military, etc)
  • Four+ years’ leading a team
  • Two+ years’ supervisory experience
  • Maintenance experience and ability to troubleshoot PECVD equipment
  • Familiar with Lab360, CIMS (CRF), eMOC-TRIRIGA (databases used in the applications lab)

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage projects, continuous improvement activities and performance to KPIs
  • Assign resources and activities based on lab priorities, and personnel skills
  • Collaborates with leadership team on organizational staffing
  • Manage employee performance by documenting, coaching, and communicating desired behaviors; work with management and HR to suggest corrective action; assess annual performance and meet in person to discuss.
  • Complete direct report performance reviews, create development plans and conduct regular one on ones.
  • Exemplify Lam’s safety culture by demonstrating a Safety-First mindset
  • Manage safety performance and initiatives to align with organizational objectives
  • Investigate and document safety events utilizing EHS reporting system and working with EHS resources to develop mitigating/corrective actions
  • Coordinate and communicate escalations activities to affected stakeholders (Software, Process, Engineering)
  • Encourage teamwork through open communication and collaboration
  • Conduct quarterly check-ins with direct reports to monitor performance, provide coaching, and training.
