As the Technical Superintendent at our Direct Air Capture facility in Notrees, TX you will: • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority. • Assign projects and priorities for completion by Process Engineers and supervise these employees • Monitor and direct process engineering efforts to ensure successful and timely completion of such projects • Evaluate and recommend process improvements • Monitor variable efficiencies and fixed utility usages and drive projects to improve the efficiencies • Oversee the Management of Change Process and review and approve appropriate change documents • Act as Technical Steward for the process and ensure the adherence of necessary industry best practices • Ensure technical "know-how" is communicated throughout the organization • Act as a trouble-shooting resource for the operations supervision and offer technical ability and methodologies for problem solving • Oversee incident investigations and release/maintenance emission calculations as required • Remain current on environmental permits and regulations • Lead the efforts on Alarm Management • Oversee the annual TRI Calculations for the environmental department • Interview engineering applicants as required to determine technical capabilities and suitability for employment and placement within the organization

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of plant process engineering experience
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good knowledge of plant process systems, regulations, and policies
  • Good leadership and command skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
  • Walking, bending, stooping is required
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator and be able to respond to visual and audible alarms

Nice To Haves

  • Good working knowledge of SAP
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Building MS Access database and SQL
