About The Position

Responsible for the oversight of the Housing Service Agreements in the Affordable Housing Department, for ESSHI and OPWDD set aside units. Ensures that the Affordable Income Apartments adhere and are following regulatory requirements within the agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ related experience and /or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, lease regulations and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of tenants, employees and community groups/members to effectively market services

Responsibilities

  • Reviews policy and procedure for HUD and Tax Credit as it pertains to HSAs and corresponding forms. Updating as required.
  • Accurately understands and trains staff as needed on processes required through ESSHI, HUD, and OPWDD.
  • Accurately understands agency paperwork related to ESSHI, HUD, and OPWDD requirements.
  • Has general understanding of site tenant selection plans through move-out procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records and files and maintains confidentiality of same.
  • Act as support for Affordable Housing Department for the tenants in the ESSHI and OPWDD set aside units.
  • Addresses inquiries promptly and professionally and actively participate in affordable housing marketing and community education as needed.
  • Maintains ongoing training and professional development for department staff, provides periodic and routing training, as well as arranges for external training as needed.
  • Prepares and audits sites for internal QI Team, ESSHI, and OPWDD as they occur.
  • Meets with ESSHI DOH Team and OPWDD ISH Team Monthly.
  • Ensure operational integrity at sites via periodic file audits, observations, and tenant satisfaction processes
  • Identifies proactively areas for service improvement, or potential problem issues.
  • Works appropriately with department staff and supervisor to resolve issues and improve quality
  • Maintains open communication with staff for the set aside units, and HUD Service Coordinators through monthly staff meetings, site visits and attendance at periodic ESSHI events.
  • Participates and takes leadership role in department efforts, meetings and marketing.
  • Provides cross-coverage for other sites and additional support as needed
  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures
