Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada inspires self-sufficiency, dignity, and hope by providing critical health and human services to thousands of vulnerable individuals and families across Northern California & Northern Nevada. PROGRAM AND LOCATION: VOA, a Certified Great Place to Work, is recruiting for a full-time Support Staff Swing Shift Position, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, for our Meadowview Navigation Center. The Meadowview Navigation Center provides safety to women experiencing homelessness in Sacramento. Women are often victims of violence when they are left to navigate the streets without housing or the resources to protect them. In partnership with the City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, we have created a space for up to 100 women to come out of the elements, and heal from the trauma of homelessness. Full-time employees (working 30 or more hours a week) are eligible for a benefits package that includes paid holidays, vacation, health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance coverage. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: The Support Staff is responsible for assuring quality service to all program guests in a compassionate and professional manner as it relates to the specific program objectives. Objectives include supportive interaction with program guests and team members, assessment of guest’s needs, and performance of all work duties as required. Work is performed in a cost-effective and service-oriented manner as it relates to established organizational standards.
