Overview: The Chadwell Supply Corporate Logistics Support Specialist supports the Logistics network of Chadwell Supply, including the distribution resources for the transportation of goods and materials from and between Chadwell Supply distribution facilities, customers, and vendors. The Corporate Logistics Support Specialist is responsible to be knowledgeable of all Chadwell Supply distribution and logistics needs associated with the Chadwell Supply distribution network and support various aspects of those resources as assigned. The Corporate Logistics Support Specialist will be assigned general duties and specific specialist duties associated with the support of all aspects of the Chadwell Supply distribution and logistic network resources, processes, and requirements necessary to achieve an efficient, productive, and profitable delivery and logistics system.

Requirements

Be a minimum of 25 years of age.
Pass all pre-employment, background check and drug testing.
Have good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with vendors, managers and coworkers.
Have a valid driver’s license in the state of his or her employment.
Be in good physical condition and capable of climbing, standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time.
Have previous distribution and logistics experience in logistics operations coordination and support.
Be fluent in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
Exceptional computer literacy and experience required for this position.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

Salespad knowledge is preferred.
Shipping and fleet knowledge is a plus.
Microsoft Office (Excel) Experience

Responsibilities

Be able to lead and support multiple facets of the Chadwell Supply distribution and logistics network.
Be able to learn new computer programs and processes within the Chadwell Supply operating system.
Follow all Chadwell Supply policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Support and maintain the Pacejet freight program in all Chadwell Supply distribution centers and branches and support the training of Chadwell branch operations employees on this system.
Support the vehicle fuel and repairs and maintenance agreements with all corporate vendors for delivery logistics and requires regular invoice monitoring.
Assists with and supports the reviews of the Chadwell Supply fleet maintenance invoices/reports and maintains the device list.
Support and assist with the Chadwell Supply Branch Operations fuel card program, including fuel card replacement, user access and invoice reconciliation oversight.
Assists and supports daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and support for the LYTX system driver safety and coaching program to Chadwell Supply Regional Managers, Branch Managers, Branch Logistics Managers, Lead Drivers and Chadwell Supply senior management as requested and needed.
Support and assist the monitoring of the corporate vehicle rental programs including the review and approval assistance of all rented vehicle invoices.
Assist with and support all DOT, UCR, and all other government required filings, licenses, and registrations for the entire Chadwell Supply distribution network.
Assist with and support Chadwell Supply Branch Managers and Lead Drivers with hands on training literature, and updates on any DOT or State transportation regulations.
Assist with and Support reporting on all safety ratings, safety training, and insurance related accidents and losses and provide analysis for consistent company safety improvements.
Negotiates rates, monitors, and communicates outside freight vendor contracts associated with the Chadwell Supply distribution network and supports Chadwell Supply Branch Managers to obtain the most cost effective and service-oriented freight carriers.
Regular reviews of freight vendor invoices and assisting Operations Branch Managers with freight vendor options is part of the scope of this area of responsibility. This area of responsibility includes LTL, full truck, USPS, FED EX, and other freight vendor options for the entire distribution network.
Support and assist with the purchase of all Chadwell Supply distribution delivery vehicles as needed and coordinate the decal lettering, delivery, vehicle registration and tags, and associated aspects of the Chadwell Supply delivery fleet to support the Branch Operations delivery vehicle needs.
Supports and assists with the recording and tracking of freight invoices as allocated to Customer orders and assists with investigating freight expense discrepancies on orders and invoices and the review and analyze of variances between the estimated freight charges and the actual freight bills.
Assists with entering all missing freight invoice amounts for third party shipments.
Assist with and support the claim process for freight related complaints, and process damage, concealed damage, and loss claims for Chadwell Supply 3rd party shipments as required assisting all Branches and Distribution Centers.
Communicates freight invoice discrepancies to the Chadwell Supply Corporate Accounts Payable department.
Assist with and support fleet vehicle major milestone service record keeping, and send auto notifications to Chadwell Branch Managers, Lead drivers and Fleet Service providers for all Chadwell Supply fleet maintenance needs and repairs.
Assist with and support the corporate fleet vehicle tracking and recording system (Fleetio) that documents vehicle repairs, odometer readings, and vehicle VIN number, year, make, model, and distribution center location. Quarterly reporting on fleet status will be required for this area of responsibility.
Research and analyze inbound freight shipments from vendors to capture cost saving efficiencies where possible.
Assist with and support all Chadwell Supply branches with resubmission of shipping documents.
Assist with monitoring reports, analyzing quotes, and administer billing documents according to company policies and procedures.
Assist all Chadwell supply departments with freight quote requests.
Assist with and support the entering of all missing freight invoice amounts for third party shipments, investigating freight expense discrepancies on orders and invoices, and the review and analysis variances between the estimated freight charges and the actual freight bills.
Assist Branch Operations with repair work with local shops on expedient repairs on an as need basis.
Assist with and support Truckload and Transfer freight needs, drayage needs including researching new Drayage partners, and International Shipping needs.
Assists with and supports the purchase of and installation coordination with all branch locations on any delivery truck equipment needs such as Backup Cameras, ELD, Comet Trackers, LYTX dash cameras, ELD devices, telematics, etc. and procure these Chadwell Fleet accessories and distribute as necessary.
Assist with the maintenance and replacement of fleet telematics equipment.
Assist with the training of Branch Managers, Branch Logistics Fleet Managers, Lead Drivers, and other branch operations personnel on fleet programs.
Other duties as assigned.
