Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a full-time Support Services Technician to join our dedicated Wash team at the Germantown, NY site. The Role: As a Support Services Technician, you'll become an integral part of our Wash team stationed at the heart of our facility. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of the cages housing our animals. While each technician has a designated area of focus, you'll have the opportunity to cross-train in various tasks over time, fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience or equivalent training.
  • Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes (training provided).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to tackle challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Operating specialized cage washers to clean assorted animal barrier supplies and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Safely maneuver equipment and products using forklifts.
  • Conduct regular maintenance to uphold optimal equipment performance.
  • Process animal barrier orders with crucial supplies, ensuring timely supply delivery.
  • Participate in the assembly of Individually Ventilated Cages (IVC) to meet facility requirements.
