About The Position

This position provides specialized technical support for the Social Security Administration (SSA) Disability program for Disability Determination Services (DDS). The primary responsibility is to coordinate scheduling of Consultative Examination (CE) appointments and specialized testing for disability applicants. Responsibilities include properly receipting medical records and invoices in paper and electronic correspondence into an electronic claims processing system; evaluating medical record and fee scheduling CE-related charges; and providing administrative assistance to Support Operations. Requirements

  • Ability to provide effective and professional customer service.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule and demonstrate good attendance.
  • Ability to participate as part of a team and work well with others.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and handle daily challenges effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of job-related work experience such as appointment scheduling, medical records, or related areas.

  • Experience working with electronic records and medical terminology preferred.
  • Other combinations of related education and experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
