About The Position

The Support Services Manager is responsible for overseeing office teams such as medical records, scheduling, and maintaining sufficient office supplies as well as working with Human Resources and acts as a billing liaison.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in working in a medical setting, preferably in home health
  • 1+ year in a leadership role in the healthcare setting
  • Prior EMR experience, home care home base is a plus
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and demonstrate good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to accurately manage detailed information.
  • Able to deal tactfully with patients, family members, referral sources and payers.
  • Previous healthcare related billing experience.
  • Word processing skills
  • Personal computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of office departments, including medical records and scheduling teams, to ensure efficient workflow
  • Supervise, support, and provide guidance to administrative staff to maintain productivity and high performance
  • Ensure accurate and timely management of patient medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and optimize staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the office and billing department to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate billing processes
  • Track and report key administrative metrics, identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, healthcare regulations, and confidentiality standards
  • Support leadership with administrative tasks, special projects, and process improvements
  • Manages office team including intake, scheduling, authorization, and medical records
