About The Position

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The position of support coordinator for Voc Ed CTE is for the purpose/s of providing administrative and logistical support for the CTE team, schools and programs with a focus on the Strategic Plan. Provides support as required for CTE programs, services and referrals Serves as primary customer service contact for the CTE programs and initiatives Compiles data for State, District and Board reporting Provides direct or indirect administrative support to the Director of CTE Serves as liaison for CTE in its interaction with schools, departments and the general public Coordinates supports and services with internal and external stakeholders/community agencies for CTE, including supplies, ordering and inventory Monitors and tracks budgets as required for the CTE department Maintains and tracks student data as required for the position Provides direct or indirect administrative support for CTE Works collaboratively with other departments in support of the Strategic Plan Arranges for translation/interpretation services with the scope of the position Facilitates the logistical functions for CTE programs, throughout the school year Implements registration processes, for staff and students, across a variety of CTE programs, which include management of the collection of funds and confidential student and participant data Audit transaction allocation reports for weekly payment net Coordinates and monitors travel activities for CTE staff and teachers Performs other job-related duties as assigned REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports directly to and is supervised by the Director of Career & Technical Education (CTE). EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically required): Required: High school diploma, GED or equivalent Two years’ District or school administrative support experience Experience managing projects and tracking budgets Preferred: Associated degree or equivalent in a professionally related field Previous district and school experience in administrative support roles Supervisory or equivalent experience Allowable Substitutions: Non-school experience may be substituted for school or district experience LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: None KNOWLEDGE: (Position requirements at entry) Demonstrates a general understanding of the Strategic Plan as an area of focus for the District Understands basic financial and administrative procedures related to the position Ability to self-manage time and work priorities with little or no supervision Ability to work through conflict situations SKILLS: Possesses effective oral and written communication skills, including those required for the preparation of documents and presentations Demonstrates strong skills in writing, grammar and punctuation Possesses skills in various computer software applications required for the position Demonstrates multicultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and collaboratively work with diverse populations Ability to perform all duties in accordance with all applicable Board policies and district and legal requirements Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: CTSA Grade 4 $ 76,719 annual to $80,757 annual salary (starting at $76,719 annual salary) 40 hours per week, for a 260-day annual assignment. Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Other benefits include vacation and paid holidays.
