Job Summary The Weft Creeler is responsible for preparing, loading, and maintaining weft yarn packages on weft machines to ensure continuous, efficient, and high-quality fabric production. This role supports loom operation by minimizing downtime, ensuring correct yarn selection, and maintaining safe and organized creel areas.

Responsibilities

Load, change, and tie weft yarn packages on looms according to production specifications
Ensure correct yarn type, count, color, and lot are used for each style
Monitor yarn supply during operation and replace packages to prevent loom stoppages
Properly thread weft yarn through guides, tension devices, and feeders
Remove empty or damaged packages and dispose of them according to plant procedures
Inspect yarn for defects such as knots, contamination, or damage before loading
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the creel and surrounding work areas
Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of yarn packages and equipment
Communicate issues such as yarn defects, shortages, or machine problems to supervisors or technicians
Assist with style changes, machine start-ups, and shut-downs as require
Wear proper PPE as required by Department
