About The Position

Are you looking to expand your medical office experience? Dayton Physicians Network is looking to add a Support Associate - Front Office to our Oncology team at our Middletown location! Summary: The Front Office Support Associate provides support to all functions within the medical office. Duties to include, but are not limited to: answer and route incoming calls; patient check in and out; collect co-payments/deductibles; update patient demographic information, schedule appointments; pull, file, scan medical records; various administrative tasks as required. Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm No evenings, weekends or holidays! Work/life balance schedules Why work for Dayton Physician's Network? Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one (1) year of previous experience working in a Medical Office or administrative position
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience working with a Practice Management system
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position to provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years’ experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route incoming calls
  • Obtains, verifies and updates patient demographic information
  • Collects and records co-payments and/or deductibles
  • Verifies charts contain all necessary paperwork
  • Schedules return appointments, as required
  • Scans medical records for EMR as needed or requested
  • Ensures patient waiting area is free from trash and clutter
  • Assists other office support positions as needed or requested
  • Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values
  • Other duties as assigned
