About The Position

The purpose of this classification is to track, maintain, process and handle warehouse inventory. The following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, inventory control, or customer service
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Tracks materials, equipment, and supplies; assesses inventory levels and orders materials for the warehouse via departmental databases and systems; determines which system to create the requisition based on whether or not items requested have stock codes; and places orders.
• Tracks inventory through cycle counts on a weekly basis; researches errors; and adjusts and documents the departmental system for auditing purposes.
• Assists with counting physical inventory and enters quantities into departmental system; runs variance report to show possible discrepancies between the actual count and system count; and researches each item for which there is a discrepancy to determine the cause.
• Contacts Accounts Payable department to reconcile any discrepancies regarding quantities or prices.
