About The Position

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, our Supply Service Coordinator is pivotal to the cost effective care and caring of our patients. Now, you can become one of the people who Make It Possible. Assist in the daily activities associated with the processing distribution and monitoring the supplies of our busy Obstetrics/Mother Baby Unit while supporting the care of parents and our tiniest patients. As a Supply Service Coordinator, you will maintain supplies and equipment on the unit to ensure smooth operation of the unit. In this role, you will act as liaison to Materials Management, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering as well as multiple external vendors to ensure that appropriate supplies are delivered with no interruption in patient care. Maintain receiving files and records related to requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor contracts and enter inventory control data. Review Inventory Control reports and coordinate physical counts of shelf stock. Provide divisional support as needed. This is a Full Time Day Shift (Monday - Friday 8A - 4P) at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens Hospital. Occasional weekends required.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or higher
  • At least 1 year of previous inventory/operational systems experience
  • Window based computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function independently
  • Strong commitment to providing outstanding patient care
