About The Position

The Supply Room Attendant is responsible for managing and maintaining the supply room, ensuring a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson Foods' policies and procedures. This role involves daily material inventory checks, verifying ingredient expiration dates, and ensuring proper rotation of ingredients to use the oldest stock first. This position requires a proactive individual who is detail-oriented and capable of maintaining a high standard of organization and safety within the supply room. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills to keep supervisors informed.
  • Basic computer skills, with experience in SAP and EIM preferred.
  • Must obtain a pallet jack license/permit after training.
  • 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
  • Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Number of Times Worked at Tyson: You can apply if you’ve worked at Tyson no more than two times.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility.
  • Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily material inventory checks.
  • Verify expiration dates of ingredients and ensure proper rotation.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the cooler and box room.
  • Assist with returns at the end of each shift.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts, dry ingredients, and packaging materials.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Stage, ingredients, and packaging for the next shift startup.
  • Receive and verify products entering and leaving the box room.
  • Obtain a pallet jack license/permit after completing 2 weeks of training.
  • Lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds to maintain a clean and organized box room.
  • Assist team members in obtaining necessary materials.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding expiring materials.
  • Utilize computer systems such as SAP and EIM
