About the role: As an MBA intern on the Worldwide Planning team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning team with data analysis, market trend evaluations, and special projects that impact our global supply chain and product delivery. You will work cross-functionally to translate complex data into actionable insights, driving towards more effective demand forecasting and supply chain optimization for Samsara’s physical operations. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except SF Bay Metros (CA), NYC Metro (NY), & Washington DC Metro. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role. Requirements

  • Pursuing MBA or MS in Supply Chain, operations or general management with a program end date in the Spring of 2027.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent, or an analytical field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including ability to synthesize findings into a digestible format for various stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in finance, data analytics, or operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to build complex models and perform rigorous data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure problems, manage multiple tasks, and a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution for upcoming hardware product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment across teams.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify key drivers of hardware costs and provide data-driven recommendations for margin improvement.
  • Analyze Integrated Business Planning process and surface additional opportunities to leverage systems and streamline work.
  • Analyze historical data to identify trends in product mix and customer demand to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau or Looker) to provide visibility into key KPIs for the planning team.
  • Collaborate on special projects within the Operations organization to drive process improvements and automate data workflows.
