About The Position

Facilitates the supply chain function to ensure all purchases optimize value and
quality received for all Departmental purchases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace in a rapidly changing business environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret quotes estimates or bids to ensure requirements/specifications or scope of work will be met. Ability to compare quotes estimates or bids.

Responsibilities

• Acquire bids from vendors that will meet specifications presented by other departments.
• Process purchase requisitions for goods and services according to Departmental Purchasing Policies.
• Identify opportunities to aggregate spend which in turn will increase cost savings.
• Create and maintain strong working relationships with our vendors.
• Enforce Company purchasing policies and procedures. Ensure that all purchase requisitions and other purchase documents comply with established processes, policies and procedures.
• Maintain price matrix, quotes, and vendor information.
• Take all necessary steps to ensure that service execution meets and exceeds contractual/customer expectations.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
