About The Position

The primary responsibilities for the Supply Chain Coordinator is to ship Johnstech products to customers both domestically and internationally, receiving, inventory, and production control related tasks. Pack, process and ship products to customers, suppliers and 3 rd party, both domestically and internationally. Work with outside shipping sources such as UPS, Fed Ex and U.S. Customs & Border Protection Agency. Register and complete production orders using Johnstech’s ERP system (Microsoft D365). Reserve sales order items in our ERP system and resolve issues. Process shipments using third part shipping software X-Carrier. Resolve problems as needed to ensure shipments are prepared accurately. Ensure internationally shipped items are compliant with U.S. customs requirements and keep up to date on export compliance changes. Research any custom compliance issues and resolve before shipping product. This includes a review of Harmonized codes, ECCN Numbers, INCO-terms, trade zones, duty registration numbers, commercial invoices, paperwork and client requests. On an as needed basis, deliver shipments using personal vehicle to local outside shipping sources. Inventory, order and restock shipping supplies as needed to ensure supplies are fully stocked. Review AX production order picklists for accuracy and add setup material as needed. Print, pull material, post the inventory transactions on the production orders, and deliver work traveler to the Manufacturing department. Conduct Inventory Cycle Counting. Setup new inventory locations and process inventory location transfers as needed. Additional duties as required by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years’ experience in a shipping & receiving role
  • 2+ years’ experience shipping internationally and dealing with international shipping requirements and regulations
  • Intermediate computer skills using MS Outlook and Windows
  • Experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
  • Experience using a MRP (Material Requirement Planning) system
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail and task oriented
  • Able to lift to 25-pound packages (daily use)
  • Able to climb a ladder up to 10 feet (weekly use)
  • Flexibility in hours as needed for after hours shipping drop-offs
  • Use of personal vehicle (periodically)

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training and/or certification in export compliance regulations
