Technician, Supply Chain Position Summary Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Essential Functions Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed. Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels. Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management. Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately. Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery. Processes outgoing mail. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional Information Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic. Biological/Chemical: Generally rare exposure to biohazardous waste, blood/body fluids, communicable diseases; rare exposure to asbestos/lead, cytotoxic chemicals, dust, hazardous chemicals, gases/vapors/fumes, hazardous medications; latex exposure rare.
